How to extend the service life of Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle batteries

February 23, 2024

The use of Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle faces the following challenges: the charging and discharging characteristics of the power battery deteriorate, and the battery capacity and lifespan will also decrease. These will lead to a significant decrease in the driving range and power performance of Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle.

Self Dumping Tricycle

When purchasing Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle batteries, many merchants will say that their Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle batteries will last for two or three years without any problems. However, in practice, it is found that many users` Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle batteries do not last that long at all. It needs to be replaced in about a year and a half. Is it because of poor battery quality or other reasons?
1. How long is the battery life?
There are generally two types of Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle batteries on the market: lead-acid batteries and lithium batteries.
The life of a lead-acid battery is defined as the battery capacity decaying to 30% of the original capacity. Generally speaking, it should be fully charged and discharged about 300 times. The lifespan is about one and a half years. If the riding distance is short, it can be used for about 3 years;
Lithium batteries have strict charging times, generally around 1,000-1,200 times, and have a lifespan of 3-5 years. However, the charging of lithium batteries is completely opposite to that of lead-acid batteries. They need to be recharged after they are used up. When the battery is not used for a long time, it needs to be fully charged every two months to prevent battery protection and extend battery life.
2. Why do batteries have different service lives?
Since the service life of the battery is about 2-3 years, why do most people scrap it after using it for more than a year or even half a year? This is because many people do not pay attention to battery maintenance when using Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle. Neglecting battery maintenance may cause the Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle battery to be damaged within the three-warranty period (lead-acid batteries are generally 12 months).
3. How to extend battery life
The cost of batteries is generally between 300 and 1,000, but even so, if they are replaced frequently, it will bring a big challenge to the expenditure. To extend battery life, remember the following 2 points:
①Do not do anything that harms the battery
There are many behaviors that can damage Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle batteries, such as over-discharging, sudden braking, excessive load, using new and old batteries in series, fast charging, overcharging, etc. These will affect the service life of the battery and shorten its service life.
②Regular maintenance
Regularly check the casing of the Hydraulic Dumping Tricycle battery to see if there is any deformation, damage, scratches or other problems. If so, go to the maintenance point for repair in time and conduct a thorough inspection. If corrosion is found at the terminals, also It must be dealt with promptly to avoid leakage of electricity.
